The Showers

As i sit near the window sill
 and watch the little drops of rain
 I am overwhelmed by
the feeling of freshness
and the sense of coolness it brings  along with it.
Oh it is such a respite
 to feel the little drops after the scorching heat
It feels as if
Gods have sent this rain
to wash away all the sins, pain
and sorrows along with the heat and dust
at last the skies have opened
and i can enjoy the cool breeze,
 the smell of the damp earth
and try to drown myself in the heavenly showers,
I hope life will now be
clean and fresh like,
the nature around me after the rains.
